crafted with earth, time, and care
the plants and the fabric make love to birth beautiful creations — clothing that is inspiring to wear, rather than clothes that restrict our expression.
wearable art as natural medicine
wearable art
our skin inhales the essence of the clothes we wear. every kura terra piece is made from 100% cotton — grown, woven, and stitched in oaxaca — printed with medicinal plants used fresh or fermented. the botanical pigments don't just color the fabric. they become part of it.
each garment takes 30 to 60 hours to create. no two pieces are alike — the eucalyptus leaf that marks one dress will never fall the same way twice. this is not fashion. this is wearable art that weaves the natural medicine of plants into every thread.
the process
medicinal plants collected fresh from the land around oaxaca — eucalyptus, marigold, guava, avocado. some used fresh, others fermented for deeper pigment
100% oaxacan cotton — grown, woven, and stitched locally — is treated and prepared by hand to receive the botanical prints
plants and fabric are bundled tightly and steamed at the perfect temperature — pigments transfer through heat, pressure, and time. 30 to 60 hours per piece
the bundle opens to show impressions no machine could create — the ghost of a leaf, the blush of a petal. the plants and the fabric have become one

the maker
every piece of kura terra is made by hand — from harvesting the plants to stitching the final seam. the maker works with what the land offers each season, guided by intuition and the wisdom of traditional plant knowledge.
all materials are sourced and created locally in oaxaca. the cotton is grown here. the plants are from this region. the design, the dyeing, the sewing — everything happens in this place, by these hands.
gongfu tea
kura terra is also a tea house. step inside, sit down, and let time dissolve. gongfu cha — the chinese art of preparing tea with skill and intention — is practiced here as a daily ceremony.
aged pu-erh, high-mountain oolong, wild white tea. each session is an invitation to pause, taste, and return to the body. the same attention that goes into each garment goes into each cup.
six pillars
every garment is cut, sewn, composed, and printed by hand. 30 to 60 hours of care go into each piece. no machines. no shortcuts.
all color comes from plants — used fresh or fermented. no synthetic dyes, no chemical fixatives. the water returns clean to the ground.
grown, woven, and stitched in oaxaca. every material is sourced and created locally, supporting the hands and land that make it possible.
every cut of fabric is used. scraps become accessories or return to the earth. nothing is discarded — everything has purpose.
all design and creation happens here in oaxaca. the plants come from this region. the cotton is from this land. the hands are from this community.
our skin absorbs the essence of what touches it. each plant carries medicinal properties — eucalyptus, marigold, guava — woven into the fabric you wear.
